We arrived safely in Madrid after a few delays but still had time to eat our first paella and to take in a few sites, including El Museo Reina Sofia (modern art museum), El Prado (largest art collection in Madrid) and Plaza Mayor. Students were allowed to go on their own in Plaza Mayor and order their first meal in Spain on their own! Our wonderful hotel only a short walk from the plaza felt like a home away from home after a long day. We had done a lot of walking as this picture shows!
